MB Congratulations/Roundtable THIS Saturday (10/5)

Dear Band family,

Congratulations to the Band of Knights for earning the following awards at the Mt. Pleasant Showcase of Champions:

2nd place Drum major class 3A
1st place Colorguard class 3A
2nd place over all in class 3A
2nd out of 11 bands

And at the Hickory Ridge Festival of Bands:

1st place Drum major class 2A
2nd place colorguard class 2A
2nd place Visual performance class 2A
Pit Crew Award (go parents!) 1st division (classes 1A and 2A
5th out of 9 bands

I was proud of our performances!  The students did a fabolous job in warmups and battled through the heat for two great runs of the show!  I’m excited to see where we go this season!

Things to think about:

1. This coming Saturday is ROUNDTABLE!  Calling all Band parents!  Please see all emails from various committee chairs on ways to help out.  If you just come and be a helping hand, much will be appreciated.  Let’s show all of our visiting bands who the North Lincoln Bands really are and why we have an “award-winning” pit crew of awesome band parents!

2. Please visit Latitudes Bar and Grill (2495 N Highway 16, Denver, North Carolina 28037) this Wednesday from 5-9 for dinner.  Latitudes is supporting our band program and donating a portion of all proceeds earned to the band.  Great spirit night!

3. Rehearsals this week will be Tuesday and Thursday 4-7pm. No Monday rehearsal. Lots to do to prep for Roundtable!

4. Disney Trip Forms and deposits due on Tuesday!
