For more than two decades, North Lincoln Bands has fostered an environment of competitive mastery and artistic pride. From championship venues to national parades, our students consistently represent Lincoln County on the biggest stages.
Our Marching Band regularly earns grand champion awards and sweeps caption awards at contests across North Carolina and in surrounding states. In 2025, the band was a finalist at the Western Carolina University Tournament of Champions, one of the Southeast’s most prestigious marching band events. The band also performs in beloved local events such as the Denver Christmas Parade and Lincolnton Christmas Parade.
Our Winter Ensembles set the pace regionally and nationally. In April 2026, the Winter Winds made history by earning a Silver Medal in the highly competitive Scholastic A Class at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. Meanwhile, our Varsity and Junior Varsity Winter Guard groups continue to earn top placements and class promotions in the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association circuit.
Our Concert Bands consistently demonstrate excellence in the concert setting, earning a long-standing record of Superior and Excellent ratings at regional and state music performance adjudications. Students form multiple ensembles, including Concert Band and Symphonic Band, for performances throughout the year, including a Holiday Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. Beyond large ensembles, students regularly earn All-County, All-District, and All-State honors and achieve Superior and Excellent ratings in solo, duet, and small ensemble performances.
North Lincoln Bands hosts and supports several signature events that bring together students, families, alumni, and the broader community to celebrate music, tradition, and Knightly pride throughout the year in meaningful and memorable ways.
Each fall, North Lincoln Bands hosts the Roundtable Tournament of Bands. This event brings together some of the most talented and dedicated high school marching bands from across the region. It’s more than a competition—it’s a gathering of kindred spirits who share a love for music, performance, and tradition. Whether performing on the field, cheering from the stands, sponsoring the action, or volunteering to make it all possible, we look forward to welcoming you to Knights Stadium on September 26, 2026.
Each holiday season, the Band of Knights operates its popular Holiday Marketplace, featuring fresh-baked goods from Dewey’s Bakery alongside a variety of seasonal treats and gifts. This annual fundraiser has become a community tradition, offering an easy and meaningful way to support student musicians while preparing for the holidays. Stay tuned for more information as the tradition marks another year.
