Friday home football game vs. Lincolnton (Senior Night)

Dear band family,

Congratulations to our marching band for two terrific performances yesterday at Porter Ridge and Providence High Schools. It was a long but fun day and I was so proud of the band for pushing through literally the elements (super hot afternoon and rain in the evening!) In the end, we brought home a very well-deserved 2nd place in a super tough class @ Providence and finished 5th of the day right behind several fine bands that are competing on a national level. We were in good company! What a way to end a terffiic season!

This Friday is Senior Night and Middle School Night for our final regular season home football game vs. Lincolnton HS. Call time is 5:30pm. All props need to be moved to the stadium as we are performing the show at halftime. Please know that we anticipate nearly 30 middle school band students to attend the game witih us and play some pep tunes! This is our first big recruitment oppurtunity and we want to show them how great marching band is! Please remember your long black socks, Within the Garden show shirt, and $$ for 3rd quarter break. Senior parents/escorts are asked to be at the stadium by 6:30pm. I will send out more concrete details as I get them from the AD.

Our Encore Performance is Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 7:00pm in the stadium. We will eat dinner together at 5:30pm, warmup at 6:30 and run the show one last time! Invite your family and friends!!! Another email will be sent out this week with logistics on food. Be on the look out for that!
Information packets for Winterguard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be sent out this week as well. Our Jazz Band will start up in early January (be on the look out for information regarding this ensemble next month).
