3rd round Playoff game this Friday/Lincolnton parade this Sunday

Band family,

The drumbeat plays on! 3rd round of the playoffs this Friday, Nov. 29 (Black Friday!) and the Lincolnton parade this Sunday, Dec. 1.

Call time for Friday’s game will be 6:15pm. We will wear uniforms again (no headwear). Remember to bring black socks, $$ for 3rd quarter break, and jackets/beanies. Temps are showing it will be chilly but not freezing. I realize that this is the day after Thanksgiving and families may be out of town or have prior plans. All I ask is that families do their best to accommodate this added game. If you can not make the game due to prior commitments, please email me. If you are able to come to the game and play, I expect you there. The band is woven into the fabric of the school, and we are a huge part of Friday nights! Thank you to everyone who came last week! I had a blast hanging out with you!

Call time for the parade is 3pm. Drop off for the Lincolnton parade will be at 5th/3rd Bank off Main St. in downtown. Look for our band truck! Pick up will be at Lincolnton HS. Our truck will follow us to LHS. Parade begins at 4pm and the begins at Main and Water streets, heads towards the courthouse, and proceeds down Aspen St. before ending at LHS. The Lincolnton is a wonderful event that is in it’s 61st year! Our band has been a part of the parade each year since its founding in 2003. We want to have a strong showing!!! Practice your music.

No parade practice this week!!! I decided to cancel it… students just need to look at their music and memorize it! We’ll be good to go!
