Hello Band Family!

What a great preview! The band has come a long way since the end of July and their hard work really showed up last night! I’m really excited to see the kids grow and am really looking forward to seeing them continue to get better and represent us and the North Lincoln community well.
As you know, we’re all a part of this show. The equipment, the props, the instruments, the travel are a result of you and your fellow band parents and family volunteering their time and efforts. One of our largest NL Band of Knights community fundraisers will be here in 3 weeks…Roundtable!
For this event we will be hosting 13 bands from North and South Carolina (over 1,000 performers plus their friends and family!) as well as the UNC Charlotte “Pride of Niner Nation” band for a day and night of music and entertainment.

This event does not happen without your help, and there are several ways that you can pitch in:
Equipment Needed For setting up the stadium to serve the thousands of guests we will have at our stadium, we will needs tables, chairs, coolers (with ICE), EZUP tents, and extension cords.Of particular note, we will also be constantly moving equipment and kids around our grounds. For this we need ATVs, golf carts (that can tow), and utility trailers with drop ramps (from 8′ to 18′ long). Hospitality Items Needed:Roundtable has become a sought after event in the Carolinas for bands to attend.  This year we filled up our band registrations about 2 months before normal.  One of the reasons that bands come (and come back!) to help fund our program is because of the great job we do in hosting the staffs of the visiting bands.If you (or someone you know) like to cook this is for you!  We are looking for a variety of covered dishes, desserts, and volunteers to help manage these areas.

Volunteers needed:As you can imagine, throwing a lawn party for a couple thousand folks will take a few people to manage the food, drinks, and other functions.  We’d like to ask you to volunteer for at least a couple hours (or longer if you are available) at one of our concession points or on one of the other needed functions.

Setup needed:The day before Roundtable – October 4 – we will set up the stadium for the next day. We will need folks with backpack blowers and simply a lot of hands to set up all of our tables, tents, signs, and to clean out the stadium. no Signup for this one…just let me know if you’ll be available.
