Welcome to my first directors Blog! Band camp is here and we are excited and ready to be together again. Let's get to work doing something normal and fun.
For new members- There is always some anxiety with the first day of camp and doing something new. I can't make it go away but I will tell you it's very normal. My suggestion is get a good nights sleep, get up, grab your stuff and get in the car! You'll be fine once you get here. Just try your best and you'll have a great time.
For veteran members- Some things will be the same...Some things will be different. It doesn't mean anything is right or wrong, just different. Just like I said to the new members- just give me your best effort. That's all I can ask for.
Just so you know....I've been doing this a long time, but I'm nervous too!
I sent out my first mass email from my new Lincoln County gmail and all reports are that it went to everyones spam box. Ofcourse it did....please dig that out and read through it....It's long I know, but there lots of good information in there for you as well as some forms you need to print, fill out and bring in.
It looks like we've been blessed with mild weather next week but you still need a hat, your water bottle, and sunscreen ( and wear light colored clothing, you can share your inner dark side another time). Be on time, which means a little early. Camp starts at 8:30 am each day and the boosters are providing bagels for breakfast Monday ( only Monday) so we get off to a great start.
Can't wait to see what's in store for us all!
