Congratulations North Lincoln!

Band family,

I need to share all the great things happening at North Lincoln!
  • On Wednesday, the NLMS bands had a very successful lasagna dinner and fundraiser. Raised over $2500 for the middle school bands! Kuddos to Mr. Stokes and the NLMS Bands!
  • On Friday, NL welcomed back the inaugural band director, Mr. Neil Underwood, to work with our Wind Ensemble. The kids were SO good and playing some really exceptional music! It was such a treat!
  • The Symphonic Band is killing it on their music and working well with our student teacher, Mr. Smith!
  • On Saturday, NL Percussion competed at WGI Spartansburg and made FINALS for the 2nd year in a row! They finished a very impressive 5th place out of a large field!
  • Also on Saturday, our Winterguard competed at CWEA Ardrey Kell and placed 3rd out of 9 units. Most importantly, both groups had their best performances of the seasons so far!
  • Congratulations to Ethan Farkas (senior trumpet) and Xander Popko (sophomore clarinet) on both earning seats in the North Carolina All-State Honor Bands, the highest distinction that our state can bestow on a student!  Both Ethan and Xander will participate in the All-State Clinic in early May.
There is so much to celebrate at North Lincoln!  Thank you to all of the parents, staff and supporters who work hard to help our students achieve at the highest level!  And, a huge shoutout to all NL band students on your hard work and dedication.  It definitely shows in our community, the greater Charlotte region, and the State of North Carolina. Bravo!!!
Yay BAND!
Mr. Still
