Camp Week 2 Information

Congratulations on a highly successful 1st week of band camp! I can honestly say it has been one of my most enjoyable weeks of camp so far! The students are so well behaved and responsive, and the parent support has been nothing short of amazing. Keep it up!
Week 2 is arguably the most important week of the competitive season for several reasons. It is the longest week (8am to 8:30pm), we learn the majority of music (including pep tunes), and we use the evening rehearsal to “ensemble” or put the entire band together. Needless to say, THIS WEEK IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! Please make sure you have everything you need to be successful. Remember sunscreen, your water jugs, hats, extra socks, deodorant, etc. Please be on time!!!
 
A couple of things for this coming week:
1. Lunches are the responsibility of students. Eat wisely please. Dinner is 4:30pm-6pm. Students will be allowed to leave campus ONLY if a note is submitted to the band office. You may submit a note for the week if you wish or send one per day. Please place the notes on my desk in my office (NOT the blue box). Students may not leave campus if a note is not presented. Please be careful leaving campus and plan where you are going before you leave. You must be back on campus by 5:45pm. Students who consistently late will not be allowed off campus in the future.
2. Spirit Week!
Monday: Character Day
Tuesday: Color Day (section picks the color)
Wednesday: Wacky Day
Thursday: Throwback Day (decade day)
Friday: North Lincoln Day (blue and grey)
The section with most spirit will go to snack first in the morning. Please make sure your attire is school appropriate and does not impede your marching.
3. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Below is the link for a Sign-up Genius regarding our Open House concessions fundraiser as well Football Concessions. We have a wonderful opportunity this year to raise much needed funds for our program through Football Concessions. The Band Boosters have been asked to take on the logistics and managing of entire concessions operation. We also staff half of the JV and Varsity games. Please email Jimmy Oakes (jsoakes1@aol.com) or Amy Fesmire (amy.fesmire@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
4. Band Parent Meeting is Friday, August 18 at 6:00pm in the auditorium. Family/Friends Preview is the same day at 7pm! Invite your friends! Pelicans SnoCones Social afterwards.
